Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

1. Who we are

Finally Sorted ("we", "us", "our") provides a personal household and family records service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the service at finallysorted.com and any related apps (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
  • Content you add. Items, providers, records, notes, reminders, and any files you upload.
  • Billing information. Processed by our payment provider; we store only the limited metadata needed to manage your subscription (e.g. plan, status, last 4 digits of card).
  • Usage data. Basic log data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, timestamps) used to operate and secure the Service.
  • Cookies. See Section 7.

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Send reminders you have configured (e.g. 30/7/1-day maintenance reminders);
  • Send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, password resets);
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run Finally Sorted under contracts that restrict their use of your data:

  • Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — hosting, database, authenticated file storage, and email delivery infrastructure.
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Resend — transactional and reminder email delivery.
  • Lovable AI Gateway — when you use AI features (manual lookup, item enrichment, pre-visit briefs), the relevant prompt data is sent to the underlying model provider via the gateway. Inputs are not used to train models.
  • Household sharing. If you invite another person to your household, anyone with the invite link or accepted membership can view, add, and edit items, providers, records, and attachments in that household. Only the household owner can delete data, manage members, and view the activity log. Remove people you no longer want to share with from Settings.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it (e.g. tax records).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can download a full JSON export of your data and permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. You can also contact us at info@finallysorted.co to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember UI state. These are required for the Service to work.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate usage. You can decline these in the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the fs_cookie_consent cookie or local storage entry.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

Finally Sorted is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
